I'm A Black Man

I just left the movie theater. I saw the movie Fruitvale Station. The movie overwhelmed me. I feel full of the motions. It has me questioning my values, how I value myself, and how the world really see me. It's hard being a black man and It always has. Always undervalued, criticized and racially profiled. A lot of times, but not limited too, by my own people and even in my own home. Always having to be better to be fully accepted and constantly in a power struggle in order to be respected. How do I deal with it, by saying over and over again God loves me, I'm equal to and no less than any other man. I say to myself, it may be harder for me but as a result I will come out better and wiser. But guess what it just don't make it easier and It just doesn't feel good inside. Willie Lynch said it "Take a man's value and you will take his life." I'll say it again it's not easy being a black man. Sometimes I just want to go home and lay my head in my mom's lap and cry. It's okay to cry sometimes. And crying don't mean I will surrender because I won't,

I'm Different

I'm just different and it's okay. Some times I struggle because people don't understand me. Some people think I'm strange and weird but it's okay. Everything is in divine order and I'm okay with who I am and where I'm at. You don't have to understand because I know God does and that's all that matters. So if you're different too. I'm here to tell you it's okay. God made us and God loves us.

Trayvon Martin

Trayvon Martin. How many Trayvon's shall we lose before we wake up to what's going on around us. These young men are fighting for their lives and against impossible odds. Believe me I know I have three sons I love very much. I could blame George Zimmerman but I can't begin to blame him without first looking at myself and what I'm doing to make this world a better place for all the Traybon Martin's of this world. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying George Zimmerman is innocent, Lord knows he will have to answer for what he did. But his, George Zimmerman, fate is not up to me. There will be a time when we all will have to be accountable, stand in judgment and be rightfully judged. In the meantime there are other Trayvon Martin's here and they are being born every day. I cannot let what Martin, Malcolm, and Medger, did for freedom be in vain. Wake up, "Men Especially", step up become the men, leaders, fathers, and accountable to all the Trayvon Martin's of this world. I pray we live for true justice and righteousness, not personal desires.

Trayvon Martin's mom

My heart goes out to Trayvon Martin's mom. There is nothing worse than a mom losing her child. And I know this morning Trayvon Martin's mom feels like she has lost her child not once but twice. So this morning I say a prayer for Trayvon Martin's mom. I prayed that she find strength and support during these trying times. I know we say, all things happen for a reason. Well what's the reason? If nothing else because of Trayvon Martin's life we will all view young man in a different light. These are the sons of our future. We must embrace them with love and understanding. In the meantime please send prayers and love out to all the mothers who have lost children. May God be with us all.

A Beautiful Place

The world is a beautiful place. But what good is it If we don't get out here and enjoy it. Live Life With Purpose

Live life with purpose. What could you do seven days a week that would put a smile on your face. See, most heart attack take place on Monday morning between 7am to 8am. People getting ready to go to jobs they hate. We must live a life of passion and purpose or we will die before our time. All of us can live a purposeful life but most of us don't, "WHY", because we think we can't. Well I'm here to tell you, You Can. I'm doing what I was put here to do, Touch and Change Lives! This is My Dream, My Purpose, My Passion. I pray to God every day that I'm doing a good job.

Favor

We all have Favor. What is Favor? Favor is Love! Well, If we have Favor and Favor is Love, whose Love do we have. We all have the Love of God. Embrace Love
